RIP Fakir Chand Kohli

The doyen & visionary of Indian IT.
He literally dragged Indian enterprise and talent to the global stage.
Taught scale to Indian business tycoons long before the Reliance patriarch.

I had the fortune of having him on the Board of one of the Forbes Group Companies (once part of TATAs) which I was heading in 2003-04.
His only mandate to me was ‘Ravi.. believe in yourself, don’t ignore internal resistance, build a team better than you’.

This, Coming from a great who had himself faced tremendous internal scepticism in the 70s when he was shaping TCS.

I owe my professional ethos to you FCK.
